Jeffery Ryan, Jr.

Co-Founder, President & CEO

Jeffery Ryan, Jr., has more than 12 years of marketing and sales experience in the medical device industry. Prior to Interscope, Mr. Ryan earned his experience with Medtronic Surgical Technologies and Smith and Nephew Orthopedics in direct sales with increasing leadership roles. He earned several high accolades including multiple Presidents Club Awards, Sales Excellence Awards and Top Graduate. During this time he routinely was selected for new product marketing launches as well as other business development opportunities. Before beginning his career in medical devices, while attaining the rank of Captain, Mr. Ryan served with distinction as a Logistics Readiness Officer in the United States Air Force. Following recognition as Distinguished Graduate he was directly involved in operational execution in support of the Global War on Terrorism in addition to serving overseas on multiple operations where he served as a Foreign Area Officer. Mr. Ryan earned his BA from Tufts University, Medford, MA.

Ramon A. Franco, Jr., MD

Co-Founder, Chief Scientific Officer

Ramon A. Franco, Jr., MD, has been a practicing Otolaryngologist specializing in Laryngology at Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, Boston, Massachusetts for the last 14 years. During the last 11 years Dr. Franco has been the Division Director for Laryngology where he is directly responsible for the management of a renowned fellowship program in addition to pioneering research in management of subglottic stenosis that has earned global recognition. At the forefront of advanced medicine, his work in laryngeal cancer lead to the award of a 3-year $1-million grant from the Massachusetts Life Science Center. Prior to beginning his career in academic medicine Dr. Franco completed his postgraduate residency with distinction at State University of New York at Brooklyn in addition to a post residency fellowship in Laryngology at Harvard. He earned his MD from Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine at Hershey, Pennsylvania and his undergraduate degree from Lehigh University Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.

Corey Libby

Director of Research and Development

Corey Libby leverages over 20 years experience in medical, consumer and industrial product development. Prior to Interscope, Mr. Libby held Director leadership roles in product development consultancies where he led the development of medical devices including surgical, robotic and imaging platforms for various stage partners. Mr. Libby’s leadership directly contributed to successful product outcomes in medical device among other sectors. Corey delivers a comprehensive quality based approach to product development and engineering enhancing the Interscope team’s core competency in new product development. Corey earned his MS in Engineering Management from The Gordon Institute of Tufts University, Medford, MA and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Wentworth Institute, Boston, MA.

Heiko Pohl, MD

Assistant Professor of Gastroenterology, Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center; Director of Endoscopy, White River Junction VA Hospital

Heiko Pohl, MD, is a gastroenterologist at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, Lebanon, New Hampshire and the White River Junction VA Hospital, Vermont where he also serves as the Director of Endoscopy. He is an Associate Professor of Medicine at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth. Dr. Pohl began is career in advanced endoscopy at the Charite University Hospital in Berlin, Germany before settling in the United States. He has continued to pursue clinical research and has authored multiple original articles and several book chapters predominantly related to Barrett’s esophagus and colorectal cancer screening.

Sushil Duddempudi, MD

Director of Interventional Endoscopy, The Brooklyn Hospital Center

Sushil Duddempudi, MD, is a practicing gastroenterologist and the Director for Interventional Endoscopy at Brooklyn Hospital Center, Brooklyn, New York. He is the Associate Program Director for the gastroenterology fellowship and holds an academic appointment at Icahn School of Medicine at Mt. Sinai. Dr. Duddempudi has consulted on numerous industry design projects including collaboration with Boston Scientific Corporation and Nanologix.

Norio Fukami, MD

Associate Professor University of Colorado

Norio Fukami, MD, is an associate professor of gastroenterology and the Director of Endoscopic Ultrasound, Innovative Technology and Oncologic Endoscopy at the University of Colorado Medical Center, Denver. His previous experience includes clinical practice at MD Anderson, Houston and Showa University Northern Yokohama Hospital, Japan. Credited with the early adoption of Endoscopic Submucosal Dissection in the United States, Dr. Fukami has been and continues to be a pioneer in advanced interventional endoscopy. His research and publications include multiple National Institutes of Health grants, book chapters, etc. He remains at the forefront of progress and is regularly sought for training in advanced techniques by his peers. Dr. Fukami has collaborated with industry in the advancement of new techniques as well as pioneering product from companies such as Olympus Medical.
