Jeffery Ryan, Jr.

Co-Founder, President & CEO

Jeffery Ryan, Jr., has more than 15 years of marketing and sales experience in the medical device industry. Prior to Interscope, Mr. Ryan earned his experience with Medtronic Surgical Technologies and Smith and Nephew Orthopedics in direct sales with increasing leadership roles. He earned several high accolades, including multiple President’s Club Awards, Sales Excellence Awards and Top Graduate. During this time he was routinely selected for new product marketing launches and other business development opportunities. Before beginning his career in medical devices, while attaining the rank of Captain, Mr. Ryan served with distinction as a Logistics Readiness Officer in the United States Air Force. Following recognition as Distinguished Graduate he was directly involved in operational execution in support of the Global War on Terrorism in addition to serving overseas on multiple operations where he served as a Foreign Area Officer. Mr. Ryan earned his BA from Tufts University, Medford, MA.


Ramon A. Franco, Jr., MD

Co-Founder, Chief Scientific Officer

Ramon A. Franco, Jr., MD, has been a practicing Otolaryngologist specializing in Laryngology at Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, Boston, Massachusetts for the past 15 years. eAs Division Director for Laryngology, Dr. Franco is directly responsible for the management of a renowned fellowship program and leads pioneering research in management of subglottic stenosis that has earned global recognition. At the forefront of advanced medicine, his work in laryngeal cancer lead to the award of a 3-year $1-million grant from the Massachusetts Life Sciences Center. Prior to beginning his career in academic medicine, Dr. Franco completed his postgraduate residency with distinction at State University of New York Brooklyn and a post-residency fellowship in Laryngology at Harvard. He earned his MD from Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine at Hershey, Pennsylvania and his undergraduate degree from Lehigh University Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.


Corey Libby

Vice President of Operations and R&D

As Vice President of Operations and R&D, Corey Libby is responsible for developing the strategies, processes, and people necessary for enabling Interscope’s R&D and manufacturing operations to meet company goals. Corey leverages 25 years of experience in Product Development, predominantly in MedTech, providing leadership to R&D, Design & Development and Manufacturing organizations. He has contributed to the development of a wide range of medical devices from large, complex capital systems to single use sterile devices. Corey earned his MS in Engineering Management from The Gordon Institute of Tufts University, Medford, MA and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Wentworth Institute of Technology, Boston, MA.

 
 

Ed Wierzbicki

Vice President of Sales, USA

Ed Wierzbicki has more than 36 years of sales and management experience in the medical device industry.  Mr. Wierzbicki’s experience has been evenly split between the Surgical and GI arenas.  Working with company’s like JNJ Ethicon, and Olympus America, Inc. He earned multiple Presidents Club Awards, and held multiple leadership positions.  In 2001 Mr. Wierzbicki left the corporate world and joined his first medical start-up, Power Medical Interventions (PMI), first as Area Manager and later rising to the VP of Sales. Following PMI, he joined Barrx Medical as an Area Manager. After Barrx was acquired, Mr. Wierzbicki joined Torax Medical.  In 2018, he was hired as the SE Regional Director and later promoted to the Vice President of Sales, USA.  Mr. Wierzbicki earned a BA in history from the College of Wooster, where he also played football and lacrosse. 


Alexis James

Global Director of Clinical Affairs

Alexis James has over 15 years of clinical affairs experience in the medical device industry.  Prior to Interscope, she held roles with Boston Scientific Corporation, Hologic, Inc., OmniSonics Medical Technologies, and Olympus Corporation of the Americas. Ms. James has extensive clinical trial operations experience and in-depth knowledge of clinical and regulatory pathways to bring new products to market or expand existing indications.  She is well versed in trial statistics, data management, publication strategy, and has presented on multiple topics at FDA headquarters.  Throughout her career she has worked in various disease states and has comprehensive knowledge of procedures related to gastroenterology, gynecology and women’s health, bariatrics, urology, endoscopy, and minimally invasive surgery. Ms. James earned her BS in Business Administration with a concentration in Management and minor in Economics from Worcester State University.


Lance Rawlings

Regional Sales Director - West

Lance Rawlings joined Interscope, Inc. in April 2017 as one of the first U.S. hires to help launch the EndoRotor technology after the company received it’s first FDA indication.  He brings over 15 years of medical device experience, more specifically in the Urology, Gynecology/Urogynecology, Cardiology and the GI spaces.  Prior to Interscope, Mr. Rawlings has earned numerous accolades with fortune 500 companies, including President’s Club Awards, Sales Manager of the Year, and multiple High Achievers Awards.  Before beginning his career in the medical device industry, Mr. Rawlings served as a Contracts Manager for the United States Air Force.  While attaining the rank of Captain, he directed and was the Principle Contract Negotiator for 36 deployable space vehicles contracts worth $60 million.  Additionally, he managed and led 16 military personnel ensuring members were globally deployable.  Mr. Rawlings earned his BS from College of Charleston while he was on a NCAA Division I soccer scholarship, and his Master of Arts in Management and Leadership with Webster University.  


Chelsea Huffman

Director of Market Development

Chelsea Huffman has over 15 years of combined experience in the clinical hospital setting and medical device industry. Ms. Huffman provided leadership in Peri-Operative Services creating training programs and serving on several committees centered around process improvement. She maintained a strong focus on Infection Control presenting on the topic both regionally and nationally, publishing some of her work in Infection Control Today. She held clinical positions in the fields of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Adult Gastroenterology, and Pulmonology. Prior to joining Interscope, Ms. Huffman held both clinical and sales roles at Olympus America serving as a clinical expert, supporting sales training initiatives, participating in new product launches, and adding value to sales and marketing councils. She brings a passionate patient first approach sharing Interscope’s vision of providing minimally invasive treatment options to improve patient outcomes.
